Like the rest of the world, The Lunch Magazine team is yearning for the day we can pack our bags again and head off on a jet plane to our favourite destinations.
Here’s five we’re missing the most and we have at the very top of our lists to get to once we are all finally allowed to travel again.

Wander the River Thames which is so central to the city’s main sites, walk through one of the many parks which are a heartbeat of the city, or visit an historical theatre or museum, there is always so much to do, every bit of it we miss.
The pubs, the people, the football, the theatre, the nightlife and restaurants, London is calling.

With Playa de la Concha and Playa de Ondarreta beaches framed by a picturesque bayfront promenade, and amazing restaurants on every corner, the pleasures of this town are impossible to forget and leave you only dreaming for a return. The beautiful cobblestoned old town (Parte Vieja), the Michelin-star winning innovative cuisine and the tapas bars are always buzzing, creating a lively, upbeat atmosphere in a place full of wonders.
Take a siesta, dream of the markets and food, wine and tapas, dream again of San Sebastian.

4. Off the beaten track...in NZIn a country full of off the beaten track marvels, few match the cozy little coastal village of Kawhia.
More than an hour away from Hamilton, it’s the perfect spot for a spot of fishing, a picnic at a near-deserted beach, a wander through the national parks.
If you fancy something a little more extravagant, why not try out the famous hot water spring on Ocean Beach. At low tide, geothermally heated water bubbles up through the black sand – you can dig your own bath.
In February the town is also home to the Kawhia Kai Festival. Listed as one of the Lonely Planet's top 10 Maori experiences, the festival offers you the chance to try unique indigenous foods and sample a little of this wonderful, mystical indigenous culture.
